Student Spotlight - Rose

This month, we’re giving a huge shoutout to our most improved dancer, Rose.

From day one, Rose has been a bundle of energy and determination. She’s been putting in the work, showing up to every class, and practicing like a champ. It’s been amazing to watch her transform her moves and groove with more confidence each week.

What really stands out is her commitment to and focus on achieving her goals. She doesn’t just show up - she shows up ready to learn, ready to ask questions, and ready to always tackle challenges with a positive attitude. Her dedication is truly inspiring!

Rose’s progress has been phenomenal. Her passion and willingness to work hard is contagious and she’s a joy to teach.

Congrats, keep shining, keep dancing, and keep inspiring us all. We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to see where your dance journey takes you next.

Rose’s Dance Journey

“I have been on my dance journey for about six years now. In all that time, I have had various dance instructors (both group and private lessons) but still struggled with Salsa.

The first private I had with Charles removed some of the mental blockages I felt I had with learning Salsa. Charles took me right out of the ‘Salsa Box’ and had me moving and finding the beat of music that I enjoyed (R&B, Old School Rap, etc.).

As I related more to moving to that genre of music, Charles smoothly transitioned the same moves and groove into Salsa music. Charles showed me that all these regular dance moves are in some way part of Salsa. For example, when we’re walking everyday, we are constantly shifting our weight the same way we do in dance.

In a very short time with Charles, I am feeling more comfortable and confident with dancing Salsa, as well as finding my own unique dance style. I am looking forward to my dance journey with Charles and excited to learn more styles of dance. Thank you, Charles!”
